HOT VOX Presents: The 52s And Friends
A jazz collective based in London tearing up venues with laid back riffs, harmony filled vocals and high energy shows. An ever expanding group of friends an collaborators fronted by Vex and Oli, the project has evolved from songwriting in an Oxford student house. With most of the band working in hospitals throughout the pandemic this first gig back will be a celebration of the return of live music and brighter times ahead.
Join us on Wednesday 28th July for The 52s And Friends for one BIG night of music.
Proceeds from tickets will be donated to Women’s Aid supporting survivors of domestic violence through the pandemic.

The 52s started life in Oxford as an acoustic duo and have grown into a vibrant and eclectic collective of musicians – even we don’t know how many people will be playing each night. Somewhere between rich vocal harmonies, high energy riffs, saxophone solos and bad one liners you’ll find a 52s show.
As a band made up of doctors, teachers and a social worker we have been working on the Frontline during the Covid-19 pandemic and our most recent release ‘Heroine’ was in response to the rise in reports of domestic abuse that we encountered in different ways across our work. The track was relased in partnership with Women’s Aid, Refuge UK and Respect UK.

I’m a Songwriter/Recording Artist from London with a story to tell the world, i’m pretty much just working my way through and learning and gathering Knowledge on my craft, I rap, which is my main focus right, doing what I’m passionate about, Grew up in west london, started off on sbtv, I think my video was the second or third video ever uploaded on sbtv, also featured on the sbtv google chrome advert, i’m finishing off my first E.P which i plan to release in the next few months and hopefully that will give everyone an idea of who i really am.

GULZ is a 22-year old singer-songwriter/producer/ medic from Newcastle Upon Tyne. As a multi-instrumentalist, he opts for the DIY approach of recording every instrument for his tracks in his bedroom in his shared student house. With spins from Hoxton, Shoreditch and Soho radio stations, as well as recent support and buzz from BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, GULZ and his band are set to takeover the UK by storm. His music has been featured in ‘Vibez magazine’, ‘NEVolume Magazine’, ’Alternative Fix’, ‘IT’SALLINDIE’, ‘RockNBold’ and ‘Totally Wired Magazine’. DJ and Radio Presenter Charlie Ashcroft has featured GULZ’s tunes on his infamous ‘Fresh Finds’ Spotify Playlist, with GULZ’s latest release leading to a full interview on BBC Radio.
