HOT VOX Presents:  Detweiler // Beau Bowen // GARRETT PAKNIS // Regulus Red // SSaule

Situated in the heart of Hoxton Square, Hoxton Underbelly is the effortlessly quirky stomping ground for those that love live music. Every week this venue plays host to some of the freshest artists on the HOT VOX roster.

Detweiler are a synth-pop duo pioneering their own unique blend of vibrant instrumentation, unconventional song structures and complex, existential lyrics. Their bold, technicolour live performances fuse elements of rock, pop and club sets.

The duo consists of Hartlepool-born siblings David and Marianne; they have been singing together all their lives and have a unique and intrinsically harmonious vocal style.

Detweiler’s latest single Passionista made the BBC Introducing Mixtape and was played on BBC Radio 6Music by Tom Robinson. They have been making an impact in their local music scene sharing a stage with Toploader and supporting upcoming act STRAIGHT GIRL on their UK tour.

Beau Bowen wallpaper is an interesting choice and Beau Bowen is an interesting band. A duo, with new music combining Opera, Hip-hop, Psychedelic Rock and Pop. Beau Bowen’s sound is made audible with a kitsch kissed production style and brought to life on stage. The band are Dru and Kay, an operatic pixie queen and a rock demon, together in harmony like never before. Their new album ‘Flame Of Love’ drops this year, an absolute must hear.

GARRETT PAKNIS poet, rapper and performance artist has been writing songs and stories since he was seven years old, and got his start in the entertainment industry in New York City at just fifteen. Now residing in London after two years in Berlin, GARRETT PAKNIS’ newest material is blending his poetic vocals with house-infused dance music blended with remnants of UK Garage.
A trained dancer and visual artist, each of his songs are released with a visual, and he has amassed 3,000,000 streams and 20K Instagram followers as an independent artist.
“The artist has been dominating the European electronic music scene with his signature “moaning poetry”, emanating a body-moving vibrancy with his house-infused dance music. And the visuals are a trippy, kinetic exploration of dance and the way we move.” – Wonderland

Regulus Red“I am going to revolutionise the old paradigms”

Genderqueer, electronic-pop, a light worker: Regulus Red is the new unabashedly authentic wo-man on the block. A reckless daydreamer for whom music and fashion are a statement, a means of liberation from a frightened society.

Of an Italian-Welsh descent, his heritage would be incomplete without mentioning the likes of Lorde, Lady Gaga, Stromae, MIKA, P!nk – just a few of the artists who inspire Regulus Red’s music.

With the LGBTQ+ community right by his side and with Édith Piaf in his heart, he travels with bravery into the world of the feminine and the masculine together, teaching us that we all have equal potential to express both.

SSaule is a solo alternative/electronic pop project based in London that blends sonic experimentation with tangible melodies. All home-grown and self-produced, her music ranges from trip-hop sprinkled with surreal vocal samples to pop-inspired songs with tongue-in-cheek lyrics.
